Privacy Policy

The policies explaining what Condensation Surveys NI records when you book, why it keeps it, and the rights you hold over that information.

About this policy

When you book a condensation survey through condensationsurveysni.co.uk, the personal information you hand over is controlled by Condensation Surveys NI. This policy explains which details reach us, why they are used, who receives them, how long they stay with us and the choices open to you under data protection law.

Information you give us

The booking form is the only place we gather information from you. It asks for things such as your name, an email address or phone number, where the property is and any remarks about the problem, for example misted windows, mould on ceilings or damp patches behind furniture. Form entries are processed on our behalf by Basin, which receives what you type and delivers it to us. Please keep your remarks to what matters for the survey, and leave out health matters or facts about other people unless they genuinely help.

What happens to your details

Your details are used to arrange the survey you have booked. A separate specialist firm carries out the visit, so we pass what you submit to that firm, and it contacts you itself to settle the arrangements. Once the firm holds your information, it decides how those details are used and is accountable for that use. We never sell personal information, and your details are not handed to marketers or list brokers.

Why we may use it

Processing your details is needed to carry out the steps you ask for when making a booking, which data protection law accepts as a lawful basis connected to a contract. Where we keep limited records so that questions or disputes can be dealt with, we rely on our legitimate interest in running the site properly.

How long it is kept

Information stays with us only while it serves the purpose it was given for, such as completing the booking and handling any follow-up, along with any period the law demands. After that it is deleted or put beyond use.

Your choices

UK GDPR gives you real control here. You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, and have anything inaccurate put right. You may request that your details be wiped, object to a particular use of them, or ask us to limit how they are handled while a concern is looked into. If you are unhappy with how a request is dealt with, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website can place in your browser. Your browser settings let you block or clear them whenever you like, although doing so may stop parts of the site, including the booking form, from behaving as expected.

Getting in touch

To ask about this policy or make a request about your data, send us a message through the enquiry form and tell us what you need. We will reply within the time the law allows.
